2011 - Eee Bah Gum
Think of an idyllic Greek island, Meryl Streep being romanced by Pierce Brosnan, sunshine, sand and the sea. Perfectly choreographed dances performed by award-winning actors and actresses at the top of their profession. Then return to Yorkshire, 1990 and a struggling hotel in Bridlington.
2010 - Down at The Pub
4 x 10 minute One Act Plays, all set in a public house, were followed up by a pie n pea suppler and a pub quiz. All of the plays were written by local playwrights and have previously been performed at Hull Truck.
2010 - Strictly Snow White
7 strangely shaped Dwarves, an Evil Queen who is also a judge on Come Dancing, a voluptuous cook, a young Snow White yearning for stardom, a Mirror “with attitude” and a “Passing Prince”. Relive how these lives were all interwoven with each other, how the dwarves were forced to protect Snow White and how the Evil Queen stopped at nothing to become the most beautiful woman in the land.
2009 - Robin of Leven
A sheriff who thinks he's in the Wild West rather than the Middle Ages, an uneducated Maid Marian and Robin heading up a boy band performing at a talent competition called Leven's-Got-The-X-Talent-Pop-Factor brought a slightly different twist on the story of Robin Hood.
Three-For-One
Our first foray into Drama (ie no singing or dancing) resulted in the performance of "THREE FOR ONE", an evening of 3 x One Act Comedy plays in September 2008. The evening was so successful that we have staged a repeat performance in March of 2009. The plays were entitled "Visitors", "EllenAliceMonaJune" and "Last Tango in Little Leven".
2008 - Aladdin The Moon
Based (extremely loosely) on the traditional Aladdin story and following on from the previous pantomime of "Cinderella" we discovered what happened to Stud and the Fairy in New York seeking their fortune. We saw their adventure on the Moon of all places, where they met up with Aladdin, Princess Moonbeam, Widow Twanky, Splishy Sploshy and others ....
2007 - Cinderella
The Squire of Highholme Hall, his wife and her two daughters were invited to the ball at Tickton Grange by Lord Holderness. However the Squire's daughter Cinderella had not so Press Stud and the Fairy arrange for her to go but she had to return by midnight. In her panic to leave, she left a boot behind and Lord Holderness vowed to marry the girl whose boot it fits ....
